State police at Fern Ridge
State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following incidents:
• Cesar Idrovo Torres, 60, of East Stroudsburg, and Ana Lopez Muriel, 29, of Saylorsburg, were cited for harassment by physical contact after police responded to an active domestic incident at 4:02 a.m. March 14.
Police listed both as arrestees and victims of the incident in which they engaged in a physical altercation.
• Police are investigating a sexual abuse of a child report they received at 6:51 p.m. Feb. 16.
The report stated a 10-year-old boy from Effort is the victim of an inappropriate contact incident and indicated the suspect may be in possession of illegal photographs involving the incident.
• A case of endangering the welfare of a child is under investigation.
Police said they responded to Route 903, Penn Forest Township, at noon Jan. 15, when it was reported a staff member is allegedly involved romantically with a resident of a group home and allegedly had provided tobacco to underage individuals.
• Police responded to a criminal mischief incident at 9:02 p.m. March 9 at a property on Switzgable Drive, Chestnuthill Township.
A 46-year-old woman from Brodheadsville told police she was watching television when she heard multiple loud noises outside her residence. She said when she went outside to investigate she discovered her 2018 Subaru Legacy had been struck multiple times with eggs.
Video surveillance footage was captured but there are no suspects at this time, police said.
• A 24-year-old Saylorsburg man is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 7:24 p.m. Jan. 31.
He was stopped in a 2011 Honda Accord on Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township.
• Police responded to a report of found or surrendered firearms at a property on Vista Drive, Jackson Township, at 10 a.m. March 7.
They said the property owner found an unloaded Charter Arms undercover .38 special in the closet on her property while cleaning. They said the property is being used as an Airbnb.
The gun was entered into evidence at the barracks for safekeeping.
• Police were called to a property on Dairy Lane, Chestnuthill Township, to investigate criminal mischief. A resident told police that his mailbox was struck down several times during the week. A witness saw a teal 1995-98 Chevrolet C/K 1500 pickup striking the mailbox.
• Police were called to a criminal mischief incident at 12:54 p.m. Feb. 27 at a property on Mineola Road, Chestnuthill Township.
A 51-year-old woman from Bethlehem told police that she arrived at her seasonal property and noticed a 6-foot metal pole had been pulled from the ground. The pole was connected to another pole by a metal wire that extended across the driveway to prevent trespassing vehicles.
Police said the pole was found about 365 feet away, near the intersection of Route 715 and Bella Road. Also damaged were two solar lights and a yard sign.
Police said the total value of the damaged goods is estimated at $360.
