Carbon County Community Foundation needs county organizations and nonprofits to provide input to what they want to learn about in the future.
Sharon Alexander, president and CEO of the foundation, announced a survey is now open to provide feedback and training topics.
“We at the community foundation want to try and offer workshops this year on different topics that are of interest to nonprofits — grant writing, volunteer recruitment — things like that,” she said.
The survey aims to find what organizations would be interested in getting more training about, including grants, fundraising strategies, donor retention, marketing and communications, social media, volunteer recruitment, board development, financial management and budgeting and strategic planning.
It asks what challenges the organizations faces, as well as how they would like to see these trainings occur.

In addition, Alexander said that the foundation is also looking for information on participation in NEPA Gives, a 24-hour online giving day held the first Thursday of June.
“This is the sixth year that we’re doing this,” Alexander said. “ ... It’s a great opportunity to raise money for your organization, but then also to take advantage of the marketing that’s happening.”
