• Police said that Allen J. Ruckman, 44, of Coplay is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a two-vehicle crash at 5:52 a.m. March 13 on Route 248 in Lower Towamensing Township.

According to police, Ruckman was driving a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am north/west when he lost control of it. The car went across the left lane of travel, where it was struck by a 2018 Ford F-250 that was traveling north/west and being driven by Justin M. Canfield, 34, of Walnutport, police said.

The Grand Am had disabling damage and was towed from the scene, while the F-250 was able to be driven from the scene.

Police said Ruckman was injured and transported to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Carbon Campus, for an evaluation, while Canfield had a minor injury that did not require him to be transported to a medical facility.

• Karli E. Lang, 26, of Albrightsville, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after a one-vehicle crash at 3:35 a.m. March 15 at the intersection of Interchange Road and Vixen Drive, Polk Township. She was uninjured in the incident.

Police said she was driving a 2019 Ford Escape when she lost control of it on Interchange Road and the vehicle traveled up a grass embankment and overturned onto its side. It then reentered the roadway, traveled across both lanes of travel and struck the guide rail on the right side of the road.

Police said the vehicle reentered the roadway a second time, and at some point returned to its upright position.

The Escape was towed from the scene.
