State police at Frackville - crashes

State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following crashes:

• Laura L. Dellisanti, 30, of West Hazleton, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol following a three-vehicle crash at 9:27 p.m. March 13 on South Kennedy Drive, Kline Township.

She was uninjured in the incident.

Police said she was driving a 2020 Chrysler Pacifica north when it struck two vehicles, a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder and a 2004 Ford F-150, that were parked and occupied on the right shoulder of the road.

They said all three vehicles had disabling damage and were towed from the scene.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 6:11 p.m. March 15 on Interstate 81 in Delano Township.

Police said the crash occurred as Chadwick R. Tucker, 45, of Mountain Top, was driving a 2023 Hyundai Elantra northbound when it struck a deer that had entered its lane of travel.

The Elantra was towed from the scene.

• Injuries were averted in a two-vehicle crash at 5:45 a.m. March 12 at the intersection of Route 309 (Claremont Avenue) and Mahanoy Avenue in Rush Township.

Police said the crash occurred when Tyler E. Nordquist, 21, of Quakertown, was driving a 2010 Ford Mustang that failed to stop at a traffic signal and struck a 2015 BMW operated east on Mahanoy Avenue by Margaret J. Getter, 45, of Mahanoy City.

Police said both vehicles had disabling damage and were towed from the scene.

Nordquist was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed, while Getter was cited for driving with an expired registration, according to police.

• Daniel P. Knarr, 74, of New Ringgold, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 4:23 p.m. March 13 on Summer Valley Road (Route 895) in East Brunswick Township.

Police said he was driving a 2018 Subaru Legacy eastbound when he swerved to avoid a deer. The car struck an embankment and sustained disabling damage. It was towed from the scene.

Police said Knarr was evaluated at the scene by personnel from the New Ringgold Ambulance.

• Police said a tractor-trailer had to be pulled out of a ditch following a crash at 4:39 p.m. March 10 on Peach Drive, East Brunswick Township.

They said the 2018 Freightliner was southbound when the driver, who was not identified, failed to negotiate a right curve in the roadway and the rig went into the ditch on the left side of the road.

Police said the vehicle was able to be driven from the scene.
