The Mahoning Township Lions announce their Chapel Grove Pavilion, located off Route 443 on Fritz Valley Road is available for rent. The pavilion is available for family reunions, graduations, weddings, meetings and more.

Trinity Happenings

Sunday worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., Lehighton, begins at 9:30 a.m. Sacrament of Holy Baptism takes place during this time. Licensed Lay Minister Kathy Long presides. Coffeehouse fellowship follows in Luther Hall.

Sunday Church School classes for students ages 3 through grade 6 plus confirmation classes for those in grades 7-8 at 10:45 a.m. Youth group for students in grades 7 through 12 begins at 10:45 a.m.

Lent: Holden Evening prayer service will be held through March 25 at 7 p.m., with a 6 p.m. simple soup supper before each devotional.

Church initiatives:

The Food Pantry is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays (and third Tuesday from 5:30-7 p.m.) with an outdoor drive-up setting. Residents who reside in the Lehighton Area School District are eligible to receive supplemental food. Participants must remain in their vehicle at time of pickup. Pantry volunteers will assist pedestrians/those not in vehicles.

Trinity Thrift Store hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays; and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays and Saturdays. Cash only sales. Household goods and clothing donations will be accepted during store hours. There is a five bag limit. Use door 2 to bring clothing inside. There is an Easter sale underway on the stage of the parish hall during store hours. Enter at the Thrift Store.

Preschool: Trinity’s Jack and Jill Preschool is now accepting registrations for the 2026-27 school year. Any child who is 3, 4 or 5 years old in the fall is eligible to register. Christ Evangelical

Christ Evangelical Free Church, 2420 Blakeslee Blvd., Dr., West in Lehighton holds worship service beginning at 10 a.m. Sunday. Sunday School for children and youth is also held every Sunday except the first Sunday of the month at 10:30 a.m.

A Food Pantry takes place the third Saturday of the month from 9 a.m. to noon.
