Thorpe FBLA participates in Alzheimer’s walk April 26

Jim Thorpe Area High School’s chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America announces its participation in the Do What You Love to End ALZ fundraiser, in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association.

The chapter will host a community Alzheimer’s Walk on April 26 at Penn Forest Fields, 2010 State Route 903, Jim Thorpe, to raise awareness and funds in support of Alzheimer’s care, research and advocacy.

Alzheimer’s disease currently affects more than 7 million Americans, placing emotional and financial strain on individuals, families and caregivers nationwide. Through the Do What You Love to End ALZ initiative, a flexible, participant-driven fundraising platform, supporters are encouraged to turn their passions into meaningful efforts that raise critical funds and awareness to help end Alzheimer’s disease.

The Future Business Leaders of America, one of the largest career and technical student organizations in the United States, promotes leadership, community service and academic excellence. FBLA’s involvement in the event reflects its strong commitment to service learning and community engagement.

Participants in the fundraiser are encouraged to walk, donate and spread awareness in support of the cause. Funds raised will directly support the Alzheimer’s Association’s care resources, educational programs, advocacy initiatives and vital research efforts.
