State police at the Pocono barracks reported a crash on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike:

Police said the passenger-side rearview mirror of a 2018 Ford Edge driven by Gibson J. McVan, 21, of Palmerton, was struck by a passing vehicle in the southbound lanes at Penn Forest Township.

Police said a vehicle in the right lane merged into the left lane and struck the mirror. The driver of the striking vehicle was not identified.

Neither McVan nor a passenger in his vehicle, Amanda M. Rodgers, 22, of Palmerton, were hurt in the incident.
