Allentown Diocese Bishop Joseph McShea has appointed Attorney William B. Quinn of Lansford to the position of chairman of the 1965 Carbon County Catholic Charities drive.

Quinn will head some 25 Catholic businessmen who comprise the Bishop’s Carbon County Committee for the Laity.

He has served the Catholic Charities Appeal for the past four years a as a solicitor and advisory board member.

Quinn is a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Lansford, where he served as parish chairman for the Allentown Diocese Educational Fund Drive.

A graduate of Dickinson School of Law, he is a member of the Carbon County Bar Association and the Holy Name Society and Knights of Columbus.
