Lansford Borough Council will see what services a real estate agent and auctioneer have to offer regarding the sale of the former borough garage and adjacent lot on Spring Street.
Council on Wednesday rejected a lone bid of $5,050 for the vacant borough garage from Dean Strohl.
Previously, council had set minimum bids at $35,000 on the lot and $55,000 on the garage. The borough also sought closing costs and costs to advertise the properties for sale.
Council then discussed putting the properties up for public auction, and then also considered seeking the services of a real estate agent to list the properties after failed attempts to sell through public bids.
Council agreed to seek out three auctioneers and three real estate agents to bring before committee for recommendations.
