A senior student at Marian Catholic High School has been named area winner in this year’s judging for the National “Ability Counts” Report Contest on “Employment of the Handicapped.”
Thomas J. Skrabak, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Skrabak of 210 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, was awarded a $25 U.S. Savings Bond for his winning entry.
The report theme was “What Handicapped Workers are Contributing to My Country.” The presentation was made by Carl J. Klitsch, manager of the Tamaqua Office of the Pennsylvania State Employment Service on behalf of the local area handicapped committee.
Skrabak’s report has been submitted to the Governor’s Committee on Employment of Handicapped to be judge with other statewide entries.
