March 10, 1963 — St. Michael’s of Lansford runs its winning streak to 20 straight games by rolling to a 66-35 victory over St. Isadore’s of Quakertown. Gary Fredericks and Dave Padora help the winning squad, coached by Paul Yanchura, jump out to an 18-6 lead after the first quarter and extend the advantage to 24 points by halftime. Fredericks collects 22 points to lead all scorers, while Padora ends with 17. St. Mike’s, which claimed the regular season title in the Panther Valley Parochial League, also receives 16 from Billy Knepper.
