Craig R. Snyder, 59, of Stroudsburg, was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol after a one-vehicle crash at 4:50 p.m. Feb. 22 on Route 209 in Hamilton Township, state police at the Stroudsburg barracks said.
Police said he was driving a 2003 Jeep Liberty southbound and was traveling too fast for conditions on the snow-covered roadway.
He failed to maintain his lane of travel and lost control of the vehicle, which police said “seemingly spun out” and rolled over a number of times, coming to rest on its roof.
Snyder fled but was later located and admitted to the crash, telling police that he had consumed alcohol before the crash, according to police.
They said they noticed several signs of impairment on the driver.
The Jeep was towed from the scene.
