Marian schedules sessions for prospective students
Marian Catholic High School in Hometown is offering information days for prospective students.
Labeled “See the Difference,” the information sessions offer an opportunity for parents and youths to learn more about the well-rounded education Marian offers. The sessions are scheduled for Wednesday from 5-6 p.m., and Saturday, April 11, from noon-1 p.m., and Monday, May 11 from 4-5 p.m., along with a Spring Open House on Sunday, May 3, 1-2:30 p.m.
“At Marian, we nurture the whole person — mind, body and spirit,” said the Rev. Robert Finlan, principal. “The information programs we are offering are wonderful ways for families to experience the sense of community, tradition and academic excellence that defines our school.”
Accredited by the Middle State Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools, Marian “challenges student not only to reach their highest academic potential, but also to adopt a disciplined work ethic necessary to become contributing self-sufficient citizens who give witness to the Catholic faith,” said Mary Milosh, admissions director.
Patrick Boyle, co-chair of the school’s Enrollment and Marketing Committee, said, “As a Catholic school we are a community rooted in faith, service and academic excellence. We welcome parents’ inquiries because we are eager to share with them how we support students in every aspect of their growth.
Information will be available on school life, including the arts (marching band and the performing arts), as well as Marian’s Campus Ministry, Campus Cares, Community Service, Immaculate Heart Service Society, Student Council, National Honor Society, Dual Enrollment with Lehigh-Carbon Community College, AP Courses, STEM classes for all students and an Aquinas program.
