Lehigh Carbon Community College said it continues to investigate an IT disruption incident. The main campus in Schnecksville opened for classes Tuesday.
“With the assistance of cyber specialists, we have been working around the clock to ensure that our systems are safe to bring back online and resume in-person educational services, as normal,” the college said in a release.
To date, the college has successfully restored certain systems and school operations.
“We continue to work towards the reopening the Allentown (Donley), Tamaqua (Morgan), and the Airport sites, and they will remain on an online class schedule through Saturday, March 14,” the college said.
The college will continue to provide updates.”
“This is a collaborative effort and we are grateful for your patience as we continue our thorough investigation and remediation efforts,” the press release said. “We aim to be transparent but will refrain from providing updates on milestones until they are confirmed completed as we do not want to share information that is inaccurate or may change. We assure those with concerns that LCCC has taken and will continue to take all steps reasonable and necessary under the law.”
