The Monroe County Coroner’s office said the remains of a Bethlehem man who reported missing in February were found Sunday.

Matthew Thompson, 43, was pronounced dead on the scene, at 1:39 p.m. He was located near the Mount Pocono Municipal Treatment Facility.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.

Bethlehem city police said Thompson was reported missing on Feb. 15. He was last seen on Feb. 13.

That morning he went to Tobyhanna to complete a real estate transaction. He was planning to move to the area.

Police said his vehicle was towed from a private roadway that evening. He had called for an Uber, but he left before the ride came.

That was in the unit block of Fork Street in Mount Pocono. That is believed to be the last time he was seen alive.

Bethlehem Police were assisted in the investigation by Pocono Mountain Police Department, Pocono Township Police Department, Pennsylvania State Police and regional search and rescue units.
