The Carbon Career and Technical Institute’s 2026-27 operating budget has been officially unanimously approved by a vote of 34-0, continuing a 13-year record of no overall increase in total contributions from the five sending school districts.
During that period of time, Carbon Career and Technical Institute has maintained steady district cost shares while sustaining and strengthening high-demand career and technical programs.
“CCTI has operated within its means, completed required audits, and avoided budget shortfalls. The financial record is clear: consistent planning, responsible reserve management, and predictable assessments to member districts,” said Jeffry Deutsch, CCTI business manager.
According to CCTI Administrative Director Dave Reinbold, “Carbon Career and Technical Institute’s budgeting practices have remained consistent and stable for many years. There has not been a budget crisis, nor has CCTI required emergency increases to district contributions during that span.”
With the 2026-27 budget now approved, Carbon Career and Technical Institute remains focused on its core mission — providing students throughout Carbon County with high-quality, workforce-aligned technical education — while continuing to protect taxpayer dollars through disciplined financial management.
“Thirteen consecutive years without an overall increase is not accidental. It reflects steady leadership, careful oversight, and a commitment to doing things the right way,” Reinbold said.
