Pl. Valley approves equipment, contracts
The Pleasant Valley School Board approved several business items last week. The school board approved of a donation to the Monroe Career & Technical Institute Sports Medicine Program for a whirlpool tub manufactured by Whitehall Manufacturing Hydrotherapy Equipment.
“The donation is a whirlpool tub that the Pleasant Valley School District no longer uses. The board approved donating the item to MCTI to support its sports medicine program,” Business Manager Tammy Smale said. “This is not a monetary donation.”
The monetary value of the whirlpool tub was not provided.
The school board approved a contract with Arbiter Sports LLC for scheduling from July 15 to July 14, 2027. The total cost is $2,407.50.
“This is a contract with the company that pays our referee officials for all sporting events,” Smale said. “This is a renewal contract.”
The school board also rescinded approval of items from past meetings and readdressed on Feb. 26.
Approval was rescinded for the Ready to Learn Tax Equity Supplement Resolution from January.
Smale explained there was an error in the original resolution.
The other item rescinded was for the purchase of cafeteria serving equipment for the Pleasant Valley Intermediate School. It had been approved on July 24, 2025.
“This item was rescinded because it requires a Request for Proposal,” Smale said. The request was approved at the
Feb. 26 meeting and involves advertising for sealed bids for the cafeteria equipment at PVIS.
