Tamaqua police charged a borough man who fell off a chair while playing a skill machine at a Center Street convenience store with public drunkenness.
Police said Harry Johnson, 62, was highly intoxicated when he fell at 7:15 p.m. March 1, struck his head and began bleeding.
Police said he fought with emergency personnel as they tried to treat him.
He was subdued and strapped down before being taken for medical treatment.
At the hospital, he told officers that he drank at home before going to the store then continued drinking as he played the skill machines.
