Celtic-oriented acts, leading up to St. Patrick’s Day, lead the entertainment highlights coming to local and regional entertainment over the next two weeks.
Kilmaine Saints and Tartan Terrors play Mauch Chunk Opera House, while the Musikfest Café hosts The Celts. The Red Hot Chilli Pipers and Celtic Woman, meanwhile, play the State Theatre.
Non-Celtic entertainment highlights include: country singer Gary Allan at Penn’s Peak, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Rod Stewart at PPL Center and rock band Mammoth at Wind Creek Event Center.

• Sugar Mountain, 8 p.m. Friday The tribute act performs the music of singer-songwriter Neil Young, taking its name from Young’s same-titled 1960s-era song.
• Super Trans AM, 8 p.m. Saturday. The group performs music by 1970s-era artists such as the Eagles, Hall & Oates, Queen, The Doobie Brothers, Kiss, and Paul McCartney and Wings.
• Gary Allan, 8 p.m. March 12. Born in La Mirada, California, the country singer released his debut studio album in 1996. Allan, who released his 10th studio set “Ruthless” in 2021, scored hit singles such as “Man to Man,” “Nothing On But the Radio” and “Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain”).
• “All You Need is George: An All-Star Celebration of George Harrison,” 8 p.m. March 13. The show celebrates George Harrison’s solo music, plus his work with The Beatles, Traveling Wilburys and more.

• Splintered Sunlight, 8 p.m. Friday. The tribute act performs the music of rock band Grateful Dead. Splintered Sunlight takes its name from a lyric in the Dead’s 1970 song “Box of Rain.”
• Eaglemania, 8 p.m. Saturday. The tribute act performs the music of rock band the Eagles.
• Kathleen Parks, 7:30 p.m. March 12. Raised in Newburgh, New York, the fiddler/singer-songwriter has released albums as a member of the duo Kat & Brad, as well as Americana band Twisted Pine. Parks released her debut solo album “Rolling Down the Line” in 2024.
• Kilmaine Saints, 8 p.m. March 13. The Celtic/Irish rock/punk band, formed in 2009 in Harrisburg, has released albums such as “The Good, the Plaid and the Ugly” and “Same Again Tomorrow.”
• Tartan Terrors, 8 p.m. March 14. Ian Irmisch and late sister Ellen founded the Canadian Celtic band, blending music, comedy and dance, in 1996. The group’s albums include “Who’s Your Paddy?” and “Here’s to Tonight,” plus 2025’s “On the Road Live.”

• Charley Crockett, 8 p.m. Saturday. Born in San Benito, Texas, the country singer-songwriter released his debut studio album in 2015. Crockett’s 16th studio set “Age of the Ram” arrives in April.
• Mammoth, 7 p.m. March 14. Singer/multi-instrumentalist Wolfgang Van Halen, son of actress Valerie Bertinelli and late guitarist Eddie Van Halen, fronts the Los Angeles rock band. Mammoth released its debut studio album in 2021 and its third and most recent set, “The End,” in 2025.

• “Dancing with The Celts,” 7:30 p.m. March 11. The Celts, formerly known as The Nashville Celts, performs a hybrid of Irish Americana, combining rootsy originals and vocal harmonies with traditional Irish instrumentals. The Celts released a self-titled album in 2003, with its most recent set out in 2022.
• ZZ Ward, 7:30 p.m. March 19. Raised in Roseburg, Oregon, the blues singer-songwriter released her debut studio album in 2012. Ward, who released her fourth studio album “Liberation’ in 2025, scored AAA radio hits such as “Put the Gun Down,” “365 Days,” “Last Love Song” and “Help Me Mama.”

• “Kinky Boots,” 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday. Shoe-factory owner Charlie Price and drag queen Lola partner to produce a line of high-heeled boots in the 2013 Tony-winning musical, based on the same-titled 2005 film.
• Red Hot Chilli Pipers, 7:30 p.m. March 12. Formed in Scotland in 2002, the Celtic rock band fuses bagpipes and covers of hit songs. The Chilli Pipers’ discography includes the albums “Bagrock to the Masses” and “Fresh Air.”
• The My Generation Tour, 7:30 p.m. March 13. The lineup features 1965-1975-era hitmakers The Lovin’ Spoonful (“Summer in the City”), The Hollies/Terry Sylvester (“Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress”) and Gary Lewis and The Playboys (“This Diamond Ring”).
• The Oak Ridge Boys, 6 p.m. March 15. Founded in 1943, the onetime Southern gospel act became The Oak Ridge Boys in the 1960s. The group scored 17 No. 1s on Billboard’s country chart, with early-1980s No. 1s “Elvira” and “Bobbie Sue” crossing over to the pop charts.
• Celtic Woman, 7:30 p.m. March 19. Formed in 2004, the all-female Irish ensemble has released more than 20 albums. Celtic Woman released its latest set “Nollaig: A Christmas Journey” In 2025.

• “Steel Hearts: The John Henry Musical,” 7 p.m. Friday, 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, and 3 p.m. Sunday. Steel-driving hero John Henry inspired the show, set in the 19th century South. “Steel Hearts” follows a man who dreams bigger than the chains that tried to hold him, and stronger than the machine that tried to replace him.
