Former Weissport Borough Council member Shelley Fisher withdrew her application for tax collector for the borough. Her resignation was approved Monday.

Fisher resigned from borough council and from the position of vice president at the Feb. 16 meeting in order to take over the position of tax collector. The borough’s previous tax collector, Lynette Moyer, resigned Jan. 5.

William Hartzell was nominated and appointed Vice President.

Fisher joined the Weissport Borough Council at a special meeting May 19, 2025.

Applications for tax collector are being accepted. Applicants must be residents of Weissport Borough, be registered to vote, and be bondable.
