State police at Frackville

State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following incidents:

• Police responded to a burglary at 4:08 p.m. Feb. 23 on Pine Creek Drive, Rush Township.

The victims are a 98-year-old woman and a 70-year-old man, both from Barnesville.

Police said someone entered a detached garage near the victims’ residence and stole socket sets valued at $200 and various air tools valued at $500.

• Two hundred feet of copper wire was stolen at the intersection of Catawissa Street and Route 209 in Schuylkill Township.

Police said that between Feb. 13 and 15 the wire, valued at $400, was stolen from Char-Pac Coal Co., Pottsville.

• Earl Evely, 60, of Brockton, was charged with harassment and disorderly conduct after police were called to a property on Moss Glen Road, Schuylkill Township, at 11:09 p.m. Feb. 20, police said.

A 61-year-old man from Brockton told police that Evely entered the street and began yelling that he was going to kill the man.

• Owen Battle, 23, of Shoemakersville, is facing drug possession charges after police made a traffic stop at 3 p.m. Feb. 24 on Claremont Avenue (Route 309) in Rush Township.

Battle was stopped in a 2010 Volkswagen, after which police found him to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
