The victory by Tamaqua, coached by Jim Woodring, qualifies it for the state playoffs. Brian Boyer tallies 10 of his game-high 20 points during the run, while Joe Ligenza contributes seven of his 18 in the lengthy stretch. The Raiders clinch the decision in the final period by converting 18 free throws, nine by Boyer. Ligenza also adds 12 rebounds for a double-double. Chris Ferry and Matt Pastucha aid the winning cause with eight points apiece.
