State police at Fern Ridge - crashes
State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following crashes:
• Robert E. Gallagher Jr., 48, of Blakeslee, was cited after a two-vehicle crash at 5:40 a.m. on Jan. 29 on Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township. No one was injured in the incident.
Police said he was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze that attempted to make a left turn onto Route 209 from a parking lot. The Cruze entered the westbound lane and was struck by a 2018 Subaru Impreza driven by Cameron A. Bacskai, 24, of Kunkletown, police said.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
• Jordan B. Terwilliger, 25, of West Hazleton, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 2:11 p.m. on Jan. 20 on Grand Mesa Drive, Chestnuthill Township.
Police said he was driving a 2025 Isuzu westbound when it slid on the snow-covered road while negotiating a left curve and struck a tree.
The vehicle was towed from the scene.
• Jordy Jartiva Llivizaga, 23, of Spring Valley, New York, was injured after a one-vehicle crash at 10:20 a.m. on Feb. 5 on Interstate 80 in Kidder Township.
Police said he had injuries to the face, leg and torso area and was transported by personnel from the Lake Harmony Rescue Squad to the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre.
He was driving a 2024 Isuzu westbound when he lost control of it and the vehicle traveled onto the right shoulder of the road and struck a tree, police said.
They said the driver had to be extricated from the vehicle.
The Isuzu was heavily damaged and towed from the scene.
Jartiva Llivizaga was cited after the crash, according to police.
• Mary G. Gilbo, 43, and a 7-year-old girl who was a passenger in the car she was driving, both of Albrightsville, were injured in a one-vehicle crash at 7:25 a.m. on Feb. 16 on Merwinsburg Road, Chestnuthill Township.
Police said they were transported by personnel from the Lehigh Valley Health Network EMS corps to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Monroe Campus, Stroudsburg.
They said the crash occurred as Gilbo was driving a 2020 Subaru Impreza southbound when it left the road and struck a guy wire.
The car had disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
