The 50th annual Schuylkill County Band Festival is returning to the school district where it all got started.

Tamaqua Area School District is hosting 131 of the county’s most talented student musicians as they come together to form the 2026 Schuylkill County Band.

Under the direction of West Chester University professor Andrew Yozviak, the students have been preparing for three days to deliver an unforgettable performance.

The concert will be held at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 28 in the Tamaqua Area School District auditorium.
