It was released by Governor Dick Thornburgh’s office that a Small Communities Program Grant loan for $600,000 has been awarded the Rush Township Supervisors for the American Home Technology, Inc., affiliated with the Rieder Corporation, which is based in New Jersey.
The firm is expected to invest $700,000 in the project in addition to the Pennsylvania Industrial Park in Hometown. It anticipated the employment of 200 persons with an annual payroll of $3.2-million for carpenters, electrical and related fields.
The firm manufactures garden homes, townhouses and multi-family modular structures to be sold in a 13-state coverage area of the northeastern United States.
It plans to build an additional 85,000-square-foot structure onto its current 48,000-square-foot shell in the TIDE Park.
