Four area girls basketball players have been named to the Colonial League Girls Basketball First Team All-Star squad.

The team is selected by the Colonial League Girls Basketball Coaches Association.

Times News area players selected to the top team include Northwestern’s Natalie Conner, Lehighton’s Olivia Serfass, Northern Lehigh’s Tegan Simms and Palmerton’s Courtney Connell.

Conner, a sophomore, averaged 20.9 points per game during the regular season and hit 71 three-pointers. She helped the Tigers post a 19-3 record.

The Bulldogs’ Simms, a junior, reached the 1,000-point mark this season. She finished the regular season with a 16.73 ppg average and also was a threat from distance, hitting 53 treys.

Serfass was the Indians’ top scorer during the regular season with an average of 11.86 ppg. Also a strong rebounder, the senior helped Lehighton to an impressive 20-2 record — the first time the program has reached 20 wins in a season.

Connell, meanwhile, was limited to just nine games this season due to injury but averaged 13.67 points during that time.

Second Team honors were also obtained by Lehighton’s Ryleigh Trotman.
