Monroe County crashes

State police at the Stroudsburg barracks reported the following crashes:

• Angelo J. Ismaelito, 44, of Kearny, New Jersey, was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 2:14 p.m. Feb. 9 on Route 209 in Hamilton Township.

Police said he was transported by personnel from the Lehigh Valley Health Network EMS corps to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Pocono Campus, East Stroudsburg.

They said he was driving a 2006 Honda Element southbound when he failed to negotiate a left-hand curve in the road. The vehicle left the highway and struck a ditch and snow-covered embankment, police said.

The Honda was heavily damaged and was towed from the scene.

Police said Ismaelito displayed several signs of impairment and is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance. He was also cited for his vehicle leaving the roadway.

• R.J. Guzman Gutierrez, 23, of Easton, was uninjured after a one-vehicle crash at 12:54 p.m. Feb. 4 on Manor Drive, Hamilton Township.

Police said he was driving a 2014 Subaru Impreza southbound when he lost control on a curve in the roadway. The car left the road and hit a tree. It had disabling damage.

Police said Guzman Gutierrez left the scene before their arrival.

He was cited for driving a vehicle that had an invalid inspection sticker on it, according to police.
