Nine-year-old Ben Schaeffer loves to watch Weatherly Borough workers as they plow snow and maintain streets.

“They asked if he wanted to come see the trucks,” said his mother, Jessica Moyer.

Of course, Ben accepted.

“When he got there, the whole team was there and surprised him with meet and greets, a look at all of the trucks and information about what they do,” Moyer said.

Not only that, the crew had cupcakes for Ben and presented him with a certificate to be a part of the team.

Moyer said it was an experience that her son will never forget.

“He said it was the best day of his life,” she said.
