Snow blankets South Street in East Jim Thorpe Monday morning. Residents woke up to 1 to 2 inches of snow throughout the region. Snow began to fall late Sunday night, resulting in hazardous road conditions. Route 309 over the Blue Mountain was closed for a period of time.
