There is a stark contrast between Republicans and Democrats when it comes to children. It is quite remarkable.

Republican President Donald Trump just unveiled Trump Accounts. Trump Accounts are tax-advantaged investment accounts for newborn children. Any U.S. citizen child born between Jan. 1, 2025, and Dec. 31, 2028, is eligible for the initial $1,000 from the Treasury.

Accounts can be opened starting in July 2026, with IRS Form 4547 used to apply. Parents, family, and employers can contribute up to $5,000 annually per child.

Funds are restricted until the child turns 18, after which time they take ownership. If used for qualified expenses (ex. first home, education) by age 31, they remain tax-advantaged.

These accounts are designed to encourage long-term wealth building, with significant growth potential for early investors.

Former Democrat President Joe Biden didn’t open Biden Accounts for children. He opened the southern border, allowing over 10 million unvetted illegal aliens to flood our country.

The fallout from doing so: Reported by DHS in January of 2026, under the Biden administration, more than 450,000 unaccompanied children were lost or placed with unvetted sponsors.

Many of these children in the U.S. are being sex trafficked, serving as domestic slaves, forced to work to pay off their smuggling debt or worse, deceased. Think about that, folks. 450,000 children lost, many enduring unspeakable horrors. The children, nothing more than collateral damage to Democrats. Sacrificed for what? Future Democrat votes.

Thankfully, under President Donald Trump, DHS and HHS have located 132,720 unaccompanied children that the Biden administration lost.

As evidenced above, the difference between Republicans and Democrats is quite telling when it comes to children. Republicans start them off with a financial advantage and Democrats use them as pawns in their quest for power.

This should encourage voters to give pause as to which party aligns with their values. Children are a precious gift from God and should never ever be exploited. Sadly, Democrats did just that.
