Michael J. Garfield, Esq., Jim Thorpe, was formally admitted to the practice of law before the Carbon County Bar.

He was admitted by Judge Albert H. Heimbach on a petition of Attorney W. Joseph Engler, Jim Thorpe.

The new attorney is a 1974 graduate of Duquesne University School of Law, Pittsburgh. He worked under Attorney Martin H. Philip, Palmerton, serving as a law clerk during vacation periods, and then joined the firm as a full-time member following his graduation.

Attorney Garfield is married to the former Marianne Bonner of Summit Hill.

He is also a member of the 723rd Military Police Co., Pennsylvania National Guard, Lehighton.
