A Schuylkill County woman was jailed by state police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks, who said she assaulted them in an incident at 3:52 p.m. Wednesday in Pine Grove.

Police said Elizabeth Gibson, 38, of Pine Grove, was arraigned before District Judge Christian Lengel and committed to the Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville, in lieu of $25,000 bail.

Police said they made contact with the woman on North Tulpehocken Street after they observed her removing her clothing within the roadway and exposing her genitals to the motoring public.

They said upon attempting to take Gibson into custody, she physically resisted police, kicking an officer in the face.

After she was secured within a police cruiser, police said, she damaged components of the vehicle and urinated in the interior of it several times.
