State police at Bethlehem

State police at the Bethlehem barracks reported the following incidents:

• A 50-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman, both from Slatington, were charged with assault after police responded to an active domestic incident at 1:28 a.m. on Jan. 17.

It happened on Lock Lane, North Whitehall Township.

• Akil Nicholas, 42, of Effort, is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 8:11 p.m. on Jan. 7.

He was stopped in a 2002 Subaru for Title 75 offenses in the 3100 block of Welshtown Road, Washington Township.

• A 16-year-old boy from Bernville was cited for harassment by physical contact after police were called to KidsPeace, North Whitehall Township, at 11:29 p.m. on Jan. 11.

Police said the victim is a 29-year-old man from Weissport, whom the juvenile forcefully grabbed by the collar and shoved against a wall.

• A 36-year-old Walnutport man had $62,053.55 stolen from him in a theft by deception incident police were called to at 11:45 a.m. on Jan. 16 on Gray Drive, Allen Township.

Police said the man reported the money stolen from him through a wire fraud transaction.
