The Jim Thorpe Area School District announces the Kindergarten Registration process for the 2026-2027 school year.

Parents are asked to complete the online process by logging onto the JTASD website (https://www.jimthorpeasd.org). Click on ‘Student Registration’ and follow the directions for the 2026-2027 JTASD Online Registration.

Appointments will be scheduled on the dates below from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at either the L.B. Morris School or the Penn Kidder Campus as determined by the student’s physical address:

• March 2 and 3: L.B. Morris School

• March 4 and 5: Penn Kidder Campus

Call the Registrar’s Office at 570-732-3908 to speak with Mia Bachert. She will schedule the appointment.

For your appointment, please have the following required documentation:

• Proof of Student’s Age

• Original Birth Certificate

• Passport

• Baptismal certificate

• A notarized statement from the parent/guardian

• Immunization records

• Driver’s license (for identification purposes)

• Proof of residency (need two proofs in parents name): deed/lease, school taxes, current utility bill (ppl, blue ridge, water, garbage), property tax bill. If you have any questions about proof of residency please call the registrar’s office.

Other forms that may be needed.

• Notarized residency affidavit: If a parent cannot provide acceptable proof of residency from the list above.

• 1302 Guardianship Form: If a student is living with someone other than parents.
