The Pocono Garden Club will kick off its 2026 year with its annual potluck luncheon at noon Tuesday at the Monroe County Conservation District, 8050 Running Valley Road, Bartonsville.
Everyone should bring a covered dish and utensils and drink for themselves. New members are welcome.
A general meeting will be held and the yearly budget will be presented. Everyone will receive a new club directory with the 2026 schedule. Members Sharon Carey and Gail Colbeth will present the gardening tip of the month.
Please try to carpool because parking is at a premium.
The design entry should be a designer’s choice titled “Northern Lights.”
The horticulture entry should be anything creative composed of winter materials such as evergreen cuttings and pine cones.
The houseplant entry should be a single leaf in a clear glass container.
Looking ahead, the club will hold its annual Flower Shower and Plant Sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on July 11. This year’s theme is Garden Symphony. The show will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 158 Fish Hill Road in Tannersville.
