A leak in a 14-inch water main near the intersection of Center and Spruce streets in Tamaqua was detected at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday.

Crews had the leak repaired by 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Borough Manager Kevin Steigerwalt said no customers lost water service and no water boil advisory is needed.

The leak was a routine water main break, not caused by the weather, Steigerwalt said.
