State police at the Belfast barracks were called to a hit-and-run incident at 7:02 a.m. Jan. 14 on Interstate 78 in Lower Saucon Township.

Police said a vehicle traveling west changed lanes from the right lane to the left lane, overtaking a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze driven by Edward L. Parmer, 27, of Kunkletown, and striking it on the front driver’s side tire and bumper.

The striking vehicle fled, while the Cruze came to a controlled stop on the left shoulder.
