The Palmerton Area Library will hold a Free Valentines Concert on Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. “Be My Valentine, Love Songs from Broadway and Beyond” will be performed by musician Roger Latzgo.

Blue Mountain Community Church

Faith Alive Church

Faith Alive Church, 678 Pine St., Palmerton (Bowmanstown), holds two services each Sunday with Pastor Rob Timlin. A contemporary service is held at 8:30 a.m., followed by Sunday school for all ages at 9:45 a.m. A traditional service is held at 11 a.m.

Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church

Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 500 Church Drive, Palmerton, holds worship service every Sunday, beginning at 9 a.m.

Lent: Every Wednesday will be a soup, dessert and fellowship at 6 p.m. with a service beginning at 7 p.m. On Ash Wednesday only, it will include sandwich wraps with two kinds of soup: Ham & Bean and Egg Chowder. Planned meals include Chicken Noodle Soup and Rhubarb Surprise and Black Bottom cupcakes on Feb. 25; Beef Barley Soup and Rice Pudding and Blueberry Cream bars, March 4; Ham & Bean Soup and Coconut Cream Pie and Vanilla Cake, March 11; Pasta e Fagioli Soup and Lemon bars and Molasses Crumb cake, March 18; and Beef Vegetable Soup and Orange Dessert and Cheese Pie, March 25.

April 1: No Lenten Service/fellowship held.

Gift card bingo: A bingo will be held on Feb. 15 at Aquashicola Fire Co., 270 Little Gap Road, Palmerton. All proceeds will benefit four local charities: Paul’s Valor House, Palmerton Food Pantry, Carbon County Animal Shelter and Palmerton Cat Project. Presale tickets are available until Feb. 10. Bring an item to donate to any of the charitable organizations and receive a free special game sheet.
