The Carbon County Coroner’s office released the name of the woman killed Saturday afternoon in a crash in Mahoning Township.
Genevieve L. Snyder, 32, of Summit Hill was pronounced deceased at the scene of a two-car motor vehicle accident on
Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. by Deputy Coroner Erika Reinheimer. The incident occurred shortly after 3 p.m. Saturday in front of 2897 E. Blakeslee Boulevard, Mahoning Township, Carbon County.
Snyder was the operator of one of two vehicles involved in the crash.
The crash involved a car and a stake body truck. The car came to rest against a snow bank on a private commercial parking lot while the truck came to rest broadside on the roadway.

East Blakeslee Boulevard in the area of 443 Auto Sales was shut down for an extended period of time to allow for the Pennsylvania State Police Accident Reconstruction Team to conduct their investigation.
“The Carbon County Coroner’s Offices offers our sincere condolences to Ms. Snyder’s family as they begin to process this tragic loss,” County Deputy Jason T. Smith said.
