State police at Lehighton

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following incidents:

• Police were called to a theft incident on Sassafras Lane, Polk Township, at 10:45 a.m. Jan. 13.

A 78-year-old Kunkletown man told police a package was removed from his property after its delivery. The package contained towels valued at $78.

• A 45-year-old Lehighton man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after police made a traffic stop at 1:38 a.m. Jan. 24.

He was stopped in a 2015 Kia Sorento for Title 75 violations on Interchange Road in Franklin Township, after which police found him to be in possession of a used marijuana pipe.

• A 33-year-old man from Palmerton is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after police made a traffic stop at 1:56 a.m. Jan. 24.

He was stopped in a 2020 Volkswagen Atlas for a Motor Vehicle Code violation on Columbia Avenue in Palmerton.

• Police are investigating an identity theft/theft by deception incident they were called to at 2:01 p.m. Nov. 11 of last year.

The victim is a 54-year-old woman from Saylorsburg.
