One person was injured during a two-car crash Wednesday night in Palmerton.

Borough police Chief Tim Kromer said the crash occurred around 9 p.m. at Delaware Avenue and Sixth Street.

Kromer said the driver was on Sixth Street traveling south across Delaware Avenue and struck a vehicle that was traveling east on Delaware Avenue.

He said one of the drivers suffered a minor head injury and was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Carbon Campus as a precaution.

Kromer said the road was shut down for about a half hour.

He said no charges will be filed.

Palmerton Ambulance, Palmerton Fire Department, and Strohl’s Garage assisted at the scene.
