A soup sale fundraiser to help the victims of the Christmas Day fire will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (or until sold out) Sunday at the Nesquehoning Hose Company, 953 E. Catawissa St.

Several types of soup, including chicken potpie, halupki, Maryland crab, and many others will be available for purchase. Soups will be sold in pints and quarts. This is a cash only event.

The fundraiser is organized by the Nesquehoning Sokol Club and the Nesquehoning VFW Post 8008 member and auxiliary.

Proceeds for this event will benefit all victims affected by the recent fire in the borough.

In addition, the Nesquehoning VFW will hold a dart tournament and basket raffle on Feb. 7 to raise funds for two of the victims who are members of the post.

Basket prizes are still being accepted and can be dropped off at the VFW during business hours or at the soup sale.
