A driver escaped injury late Monday afternoon when involved in a crash near Palmerton. The accident occurred just after 4 p.m. when the unit was traveling west on Route 248 just before the Palmerton exit. The SUV entered the right berm coming to rest on its roof. State police at Lehighton are investigating the incident.
