The West Penn Fire Company responded to a working dwelling fire Friday afternoon at 1 Cat Tail Lane just off Pine Hill Road. The fire originated in the kitchen stove. West Penn police attempted to extinguish the flames with fire extinguishers. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire, then ventilated the dwelling. No injuries were reported in the incident.
