Letter to the editor: Consequences Of Manhattan Vote
The voters in Manhattan who elected Mamdani for mayor will soon feel the destructive winds of socialism.
Despite Mamdani’s smiling and easygoing persona, the 34-year-old democratic socialist is the head of a radical movement that calls for changes that are much more “Stalinist” than his democratic facade suggests.
The cabinet leaders he has chosen are a mix of former criminals, socialists, and community organizers.
His new agenda has all the markings of a powder keg that, once ignited, will be worse for N.Y.C. than the World Trade Center catastrophe.
This is just the tip of the iceberg, for in America, the radical socialist movement in our country is now rearing its head through the Democrat Party with the goal to destroy capitalism and our Christian principles.
Victor Davis, from the Hoover Institution penned it well, “The United States seems on the verge of a new cycle of left-wing radicalism in spirit and substance-as the old Democrat Party withers away, and a new Socialist Democrat Party assumes its place.”
In 1950, the Communist Khrushchev affirmed, “America will eventually succumb to socialism from within rather than direct conflict.”
Winston Churchill summed it up best: “Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.”
Over one hundred years ago, God, in His abundant mercy, sent His own Mother to three children in Fatima, Portugal, 1917; showing them hell where poor sinners go she told them God’s plan for mankind’s conversion and peace.
Mankind needed to repent of his sins or be punished by the errors of Russia.
Instead, mankind has sought newer and graver ways of offending God and His Holy Mother.
Now, unfortunately, the errors of Russia are upon us; the prophecies of Fatima are being fulfilled!
