State police at the Belfast barracks reported three vehicles struck pieces of metal from the driveshaft of a Mack truck as it was southbound on Route 33 in Plainfield Township at 10:22 a.m. Dec. 24.
Police said Nelson Garcia Alvarenga, 47, of Bushkill, was driving the 2006 truck.
Striking the metal were a 2006 Honda Odyssey driven by Arturo Jeronimo, 50, of Rego Park, New York; a 2021 Volkswagen Jetta driven by Kasey Hanlon, 27, of Pen Argyl; and a 2018 Jeep Cherokee driven by Andy Harrison Gaddist Jr., 24, of Effort.
No one was injured.
