The Carbon County Board of Commissioners announces the opening of the 2026 spring grant round of the Carbon County Open Space Grant Program.

The Open Space Grant Program can provide funding to municipalities and pre-qualified land trust organizations to preserve land that protects wildlife habitat, water resources and forests.

Land trust organizations and Carbon County municipalities are the only eligible applicants to apply for funding from the program.

The application is available online via https://www.carboncountypa.gov/openspace/. The county webpage also provides a detailed video guide about the program. The 2026 spring grant round will remain open until March 31 at 4 p.m.
