Republican Rob Bresnahan represents Pennsylvania’s 8 Congressional District which includes large parts of Monroe and Luzerne counties and all of Wayne, Lackawanna and Pike.
Can he even relate to folks who live in those counties?
Mr. Bresnahan is a millionaire who inherited the family construction business. While campaigning he said he would support a ban on congressional stock trading, however during his first year it has been reported he made over 600 trades. He said his financial adviser made the trades not him.
Which leads me to, he voted on legislation that would have a direct impact on his business.
Trades were made while he pushed for data centers. (Politico)
At this point, 54% of folks who live in the NE are opposed to data centers being built in their area because they use an extremely large amount of electricity (increasing rates) and well water. They create noise, a low frequency hum that carries for miles. And all those jobs, the truth is most will not be long term.
GOP Rob Bresnahan voted for the “One Big Beautiful Bill.” Just one example, according to the “Center on Budget and Policy Priorities” there were nearly $300 billion in cuts to SNAP which takes away food assistance from millions of low income to purchase food, (mostly children and seniors.) In some states it ends entirely.
Consider reading, “The Second Estate” by Ray D. Madoff professor at Boston College of Law.
“How the tax code made an American Aristocracy.” The richest Americans control 46 trillion but pay little or no taxes using the tools government gave them.
Cold, cruel and calculated by the detached deliberate mind set of the Republican Party.
