Monroe County crashes

State police at the Stroudsburg barracks reported the following accidents:

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 12:10 p.m. Jan. 17 on a roundabout at Exit 310 of Interstate 80- eastbound in Smithfield Township.

Police said the crash occurred as Amanda J. Sigley, 42, of Coaldale, was driving a 2025 Kia Sportage when the vehicle entered the roundabout, which was snow covered. Police said Sigley lost control of the vehicle, which struck a concrete traffic island and a posted yield sign. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Sigley and two passengers, Carol A. Binder, 65, and Brenda L. Lasky, 66, both of Summit Hill, all escaped injury.

• Luke T. Surowiec, 23, of Rutherford, New Jersey, had minor injuries after a one-vehicle crash at 9:09 a.m. Jan. 17 on Route 33 in Hamilton Township.

Police said he did not require an emergency medical services transport from the scene.

They said he was driving a 2016 Volkswagen on the snow-covered roadway when he lost control of it and the vehicle traveled onto the left shoulder and hit a concrete barrier.

The Volkswagen had disabling damage.
