13 state, federal offices up for grabs

Thirteen elected positions in the region will be filled by the electorate in the 2026 election year, those being offices in the state and federal governments.

Three positions in the U.S. House of Representatives include municipalities in the Times News coverage area, as do three Pennsylvania Senate seats and seven positions in the commonwealth’s House of Representatives.

The process starts with the circulation of nominating petitions by people who aspire to the respective posts. The first day to do that is Feb. 17. The Primary Election this year will be held on Tuesday, May 19.
